The Khyber Pass is a historically significant mountain pass connecting Pakistan and Afghanistan, serving as a crucial trade route and invasion corridor for centuries. It has witnessed the passage of numerous armies, from Alexander the Great to the Mughals, and played a vital role in the region's cultural and political landscape. Today, the visible landmark is primarily a brick wall gate located near Jamrud bazar, representing a symbolic entry point to the Khyber Agency and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. While the area once featured bustling markets and a vibrant, albeit sometimes dangerous, atmosphere, security concerns currently limit access for foreign visitors. The pass itself extends 53 km in length and rises over 3500 feet, offering spectacular mountain scenery.
This is an amazing place and a must see for all the visitors. It is adorned with beautiful interiors and historic walls. The stories of the past of this building are incredible and the view is just awesome.
This is one of the most iconic and interesting buildings of the city where the architecture of this place speaks volume of its importance. It is a great place to visit and its tour throws some light on the history and working of this place.
We had an unforgettable trip while visiting this amazing place. Everything from our stay, to people, hospitality, food, beautiful locations and views...it was just perfect. It was like we were living a dream vacation.
There was nothing special about this speciality hotel and it was such a disappointment. The place was literally in ruins and it pinches me to see all my money goes to waste. The rooms were really dirty and unkept and the service was pathetic. I wont recommend this to anyone and it was the worst experience.
This is an excellent restaurant which is the new opening in the town and also the talk of the town. The delicacies prepared here are awesome and delicious. The chefs have all come from outside and serve the best of gourmet food. It was exotic and tasty array of food and I highly recommend this place to everyone. Just awesome!!. We were so excited to visit this place but were thoroughly disappointed while reaching and looking at the mismanaged affair. The place was crowded with tourists and there was no system to arrange them. The staff was also very rude.
