Shahi Bagh Gardens, also known as Shalimar Bagh, is a 100-acre park established during the Mughal period by Governor Ali Murad Khan. Historically used for relaxation, political gatherings, literary meetings, and social activities, the gardens have experienced significant changes in recent years. Construction in the surrounding area, coupled with the addition of a college and sports stadium, has reduced the park's size and contributed to overcrowding. While efforts are underway to restore the gardens to their original state, current conditions may detract from the visitor experience.
