Cunningham Clock Tower, locally known as Ghanta Ghar, is a prominent landmark in Peshawar, Pakistan. Constructed in 1900 to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria, the tower was named after Sir George Cunningham, the first Governor of the North-West Frontier Province. Designed by James Strachan, the Municipal Engineer of Peshawar, it stands as a testament to British colonial influence in the region. While once situated within a vibrant market area, the surrounding bazaar has diminished in prominence over time. The clock itself was a gift from Queen Elizabeth II on her golden jubilee. The tower is a recognizable feature of the city, though its surroundings have suffered from neglect.
There was nothing special about this speciality hotel and it was such a disappointment. The place was literally in ruins and it pinches me to see all my money goes to waste. The rooms were really dirty and unkept and the service was pathetic. I wont recommend this to anyone and it was the worst experience.
