Krisnhna Mandir Temple (Chayasim Deval) is a historically and religiously important temple located in Patan Durbar Square. Constructed in 1637 by King Siddhinarsingh Malla, it is dedicated to Lord Krishna and stands out as one of the earliest stone temples of Indian origin in Nepal. The temple’s architecture, featuring 21 golden pinnacles and three stories, showcases the epic stories of the Mahabharata through detailed carvings. While currently under renovation following earthquake damage, it remains a central point of worship and a prominent landmark in Patan.
The place is so beautiful that I could not take my eyes off it. The place is a heritage building which has stunning architecture and the Victorian style walls are simply amazing. We visited the place on a weekday and it had a lot of people. But things were arranged in a proper way and we could have the tour nicely.
