Haveli Mian Sultan is a historic mansion located on the Shahi Guzargah in Delhi Gate, Lahore. Originally built as a residence for Mian Sultan, a Mughal prince who faced financial hardship during British rule, the haveli reflects his remarkable life story. Forced to engage in trade, he acquired and repurposed materials from older Mughal structures, even securing building contracts with the British. Known for his philanthropy and community contributions, Mian Sultan’s legacy is preserved in this three-story building, particularly in its stunning Sheesh Mahal. After years of disrepair, the building has undergone careful conservation by the WCAL, showcasing its architectural beauty and historical significance. A unique feature is the use of bricks salvaged from the Royal Trail's pathway in the haveli's facade.
The place is so beautiful that I could not take my eyes off it. The place is a heritage building which has stunning architecture and the Victorian style walls are simply amazing. We visited the place on a weekday and it had a lot of people. But things were arranged in a proper way and we could have the tour nicely.
