The Mir Alam Tank is an early 19th-century water reservoir constructed during the reign of Asaf Jah III, with Mir Alam Bahadur serving as Prime Minister. Originally built to provide drinking water to the city of Hyderabad, it remains a significant landmark and offers a tranquil escape. Today, it's a popular spot for boating and enjoying the natural surroundings, particularly due to its proximity to the Nehru Zoological Park. The tank continues to serve as a recreational area for locals and visitors alike.
The place is so beautiful that I could not take my eyes off it. The place is a heritage building which has stunning architecture and the Victorian style walls are simply amazing. We visited the place on a weekday and it had a lot of people. But things were arranged in a proper way and we could have the tour nicely.
