Rock Painting 1500 BC is an archaeological site in Hampi, India, featuring prehistoric cave paintings and inscriptions on rocks and sandstone. The site is somewhat remote and not widely publicized, often overlooked by standard tourist routes and guides. Access requires permission from the landowner and assistance from locals, particularly those who speak Kannada, to locate the caretaker and access point. The paintings offer a glimpse into the region's ancient past and are naturally preserved, making it a unique cultural experience.
The cave is one of the major highlights of this place and once we were inside the cave, it was above and beyond our expectations. The views are stunning and we were lucky to see the heavens light from far. The weather inside can be a little humid but the beauty of it makes it worth it. Must visit place.
