Blagovestenska Church is one of the many Serbian Orthodox churches that contribute to the unique architectural character of Szentendre. Established in the mid-18th century by Serbians who settled in the area following the Turkish occupation, the church stands as a testament to their cultural and religious heritage. While appearing simple from the exterior, the interior is richly decorated with frescoes, paintings, icons, and a magnificent iconostasis. It is centrally located on the main square, making it easily accessible and a convenient stop while exploring the town's museums, restaurants, and shops.
