Blackwater River State Forest

Blackwater River State Forest is the largest state forest in Florida, encompassing over 200,000 acres. It's renowned for its clear, sandy-bottomed rivers – the Blackwater, Coldwater, and Sweetwater – which are popular for canoeing and kayaking. The forest also features extensive trails for hiking and horseback riding, well-maintained campgrounds, and opportunities for wildlife viewing. Many visitors distinguish between the larger forest and the smaller, 600-acre Blackwater River State Park.
