Fort Manoel

Fort Manoel is an 18th-century star fort located on Manoel Island, Malta. Built by the Order of St. John, it is considered a prime example of Baroque military architecture. While undergoing ongoing restoration, the fort is occasionally open to the public for tours and events, including historical reenactments. Its strategic location provides exceptional views of Valletta and the surrounding coastline. The island itself offers a unique atmosphere, described by some as a 'ghost place' with abandoned buildings and a resident cat population.
