Bamou National Park, located north of Shiraz, is a protected area encompassing approximately 48,678 hectares. Established initially as a no-hunting ground in 1941, it evolved into a park dedicated to conservation. The park features a varied landscape of mountains, jungles, and rivers, supporting a diverse range of plant and animal life, including over 300 herbaceous species and 32 mammal species. The highest point, Bamou Mountain, reaches 2700 meters. Visitors are encouraged to respect the environment by adhering to park regulations, such as prohibiting fires and hunting, and practicing responsible waste disposal.
