One Dollar Beach, located approximately an hour east of Dili, is a coastal destination known for its blue waters and white sand. Historically popular with Indonesian visitors, it once charged a dollar for entry, hence the name. While now free to access, the beach is currently experiencing a period of transition. It has the potential to become a significant tourist attraction with improved management and facilities, but currently suffers from litter and disruption due to ongoing road construction. It remains a peaceful spot for a swim and shell collecting, particularly for those seeking a less crowded beach experience.
There was nothing special about this speciality hotel and it was such a disappointment. The place was literally in ruins and it pinches me to see all my money goes to waste. The rooms were really dirty and unkept and the service was pathetic. I wont recommend this to anyone and it was the worst experience.
Me and my partner visited this place on our anniversary and we were so happy to spend some quality time here and it is such a beautiful place. The hotel we stayed in was very warm and cosy and had the best views of the enchanting hills. There were so many scenic spots but the best was the sunset point which offered the best view from this place.
