Blanca Lake Trail

Blanca Lake Trail is a strenuous hike leading to a pristine alpine lake nestled beneath towering, glacier-capped mountains. The trail is known for its significant elevation gain and rugged terrain, primarily uphill. The final approach to the lake involves a descent down a wet and muddy path, revealing breathtaking views of Blanca Lake and the surrounding peaks. The water is exceptionally cold, offering a refreshing respite after the hike. Camping is popular, though conditions can be wet, particularly in late July when snow may still be present. Insect repellent is recommended.
