The Mackay Mansion stands as a testament to the wealth generated during the Comstock Lode silver boom. Originally the office of one of the mine companies (Consolidated) and the home of John Mackay, it later played a role in the fortunes of George Hearst, William Randolph Hearst’s father. The mansion showcases Victorian-era furnishings and architecture, providing visitors with a unique insight into the lives of those who shaped Virginia City’s history. The property is also known for its reported paranormal activity, adding an element of intrigue for those interested in the supernatural. It is the only mansion from the mining boom that is open to the public.
We had a great tour of this place thanks to our amazing guide and friend. He made sure that we know everything about the place and even went above and beyond with showing off things, being hospitable and having a great interaction with. The tour of the place was made awesome only because of his knowledge and kindness.. We had a wonderful time on our tour. We visited all the famous places and clicked so many amazing pictures and made memories. The guide was great. The weather was also so gorgeous that we enjoyed every moment of our tour. Me and my partner visited this place on our anniversary and we were so happy to spend some quality time here and it is such a beautiful place. The hotel we stayed in was very warm and cosy and had the best views of the enchanting hills. There were so many scenic spots but the best was the sunset point which offered the best view from this place.
This place is home to some of the best and unique historic art which has an enriching background to it and has interesting stories associated with it. It was really an interesting visit and me and my family really enjoyed the visit.
Our journey to this place was nothing less than a magnificent memory. This is the most beautiful place I have visited and stayed. I have never experienced luxury like that and the hospitality was top notch. I am still so grateful for all the people who hosted us and took us on an incredible journey.

Visiting this place has been a wonderful experience and it was a fantastic tour for all of us. The place was superb and its architecture was simply amazing. I took the guided tour in which they provided headphones explaining the history part of this iconic place.Thoroughly enjoyed my time here.

There was nothing special about this speciality hotel and it was such a disappointment. The place was literally in ruins and it pinches me to see all my money goes to waste. The rooms were really dirty and unkept and the service was pathetic. I wont recommend this to anyone and it was the worst experience.
We were so excited to visit this place but were thoroughly disappointed while reaching and looking at the mismanaged affair. The place was crowded with tourists and there was no system to arrange them. The staff was also very rude.

This park is amazing and has beautiful scenery. It is a perfect spot to take a good walk or even go for a run. There is a dedicated trail, well managed in the park. The trees by the trail are just beautiful and provide a lot of good air. There are also benches in the park where you can sit and relax.
