Piedras Las Labradas Petroglyphs is an archaeological zone located approximately 35 miles north of Mazatlan, Mexico. The site consists of a mantle of volcanic rocks adorned with over two hundred drawings carved by nomadic cultures dating back as far as 2,000 years B.C. The petroglyphs depict people, animals, spirals, circles, and stars. An interpretive center near the entrance provides context and displays artifacts discovered in the area. The site is situated on a beautiful, secluded beach, offering a tranquil experience for visitors interested in Mexico’s pre-Hispanic history.
