St. John the Evangelist Church has served the Old North London community since 1864. Initially conducting services in various locations, the parish acquired a site at the corner of Wellington and St. James Streets in 1888, where a striking Gothic structure was erected. The church is admired for its ornate architecture, numerous stained glass windows, and a substantial pipe organ. Visitors consistently note the warmth and hospitality of the congregation, making it a welcoming space for both regular attendees and those visiting for events.
