Mira River Provincial Park is a large campground in Nova Scotia, boasting 189 sites with varying levels of service. The park is known for its spacious sites, offering a good degree of privacy, particularly those nestled amongst the trees. Amenities include two comfort stations with flush toilets and hot showers, a boat launch, and several swimming areas. While the swimming areas aren't traditional sandy beaches, the water is generally warmer than nearby ocean beaches. The park is currently undergoing renovations, but this doesn't significantly detract from the overall experience. Its proximity to the Fortress of Louisbourg makes it a convenient base for exploring the historic site.
