The Wood Buffalo Viewing Point and Bison Sanctuary

The Wood Buffalo Viewing Point and Bison Sanctuary is a protected area established on reclaimed land, dedicated to the preservation and viewing of wood bison. Initially populated with 300 bison, the herd has grown significantly. The site provides opportunities to observe these majestic animals in their natural habitat, alongside panoramic views of the Suncrude Oil Sand Operations.
