Fatlips Castle

Fatlips Castle, more accurately a fortified tower, is a historic structure originally owned by the Turnbull Clan. Recently refurbished, it stands atop a small hill providing extensive views of the surrounding countryside. Access requires obtaining a key from Thos. B. Oliver’s Garage in Denholm, leaving a small deposit. The walk to the castle involves a moderate incline, varying in difficulty depending on weather conditions. The interior is simple, but the location and views are the primary draws.
