The Donbass Liberators Memorial complex served as a repository of military history, particularly focusing on the Eastern Front of World War II. It housed a collection of weapons, uniforms, and other artifacts from both the Soviet and Nazi sides of the conflict, including many rare items. The complex was visited by many before 2014, but reports suggest that following the Russian occupation of Donetsk, a significant portion of its collection was stolen. It represents a poignant, though now diminished, record of a pivotal period in history.
