Fort of Ku-Hueang represents a historical fortification situated on the southwestern corner of Chiang Mai's old city walls. While much of the original structure was lost in a 1950s fire, reconstructions of the gates are present, and remnants of the castle walls are still visible. Local lore recounts the tale of Hueang, a man executed by a cruel king and buried at this site. The fort is best viewed from the side with water, as the water in the foreground enhances the visual appeal and provides better photographic opportunities. It's often considered more of a point of interest to pass by while exploring the old city rather than a destination in itself.
