Kiyosu Castle, originally constructed between 1394 and 1407, served as a significant stronghold for Oda Nobunaga. Following Nobunaga’s death, the castle was the site of the crucial Kiyosu Meeting, where Hideyoshi Hashiba secured his position as Nobunaga’s successor. The original structure was dismantled in 1610, but a modern reconstruction, completed in 1989, commemorates the city’s centennial and allows visitors to explore the castle grounds and learn about its rich history. The castle features informative displays and offers opportunities to participate in traditional tea ceremonies.
