Beitou Museum

The Beitou Museum, originally Taiwan's first public bathhouse constructed during the Japanese colonial period, now serves as a museum dedicated to the history of Beitou's hot spring development. The building itself is a prime example of Japanese architectural style, featuring tatami mats and a serene ambiance. Exhibits detail the cultural significance of hot springs, the geological origins of Beitou's thermal waters, and the area's transformation into a renowned hot spring resort. A cafe and spaces for cultural classes, such as ikebana, are also available. The museum is situated uphill from Xinbeitou MRT station, offering a peaceful retreat from the bustling city.
