Xiaoyoukeng Recreation Area

Xiaoyoukeng Recreation Area is a volcanic area located within Yangmingshan National Park, known for its active fumaroles and strong sulfurous odors. Visitors can walk along boardwalks to observe steam and volcanic gases venting from the hillside. The landscape is characterized by yellow sulfur deposits and unique geological formations. While smaller in scale than some other volcanic areas in Asia, it provides a readily accessible and educational experience for those interested in geothermal activity. The area also features arrow bamboo historically used by indigenous peoples.
