The Baiyang Trail, located within Taroko National Park, is a relatively flat and accessible hiking path renowned for its series of tunnels and culminating waterfall. The 4.2km round trip trail begins with a lengthy tunnel entrance and continues through eight tunnels, offering a unique experience. The trail leads to both the Baiyang Waterfall and the Shuilian Cave (Water Curtain Cave), where visitors can experience a cascade of water flowing through the cave entrance. Spring and autumn offer pleasant weather conditions. Avoid visiting during or immediately after typhoons, as the trail may be closed for repairs.
Weekdays are generally less crowded than weekends. Early morning (before 10:00 AM) or late afternoon (after 2:00 PM) to avoid crowds and harsh sunlight.
The trail is generally considered accessible for individuals of all fitness levels, including those with mobility challenges. The path is mostly flat and well-maintained. However, the tunnels can be dark and may present challenges for those with claustrophobia. Strollers and wheelchairs are usable, but caution is advised. The water curtain cave floor can be slippery.
The trail is very kid-friendly, with its relatively easy terrain and exciting tunnels. Children will enjoy the waterfall and the unique experience of the water curtain cave. However, supervision is recommended, especially within the tunnels and near the waterfall. Ponchos are useful for the water curtain cave.
Pets are generally not allowed on the trail.
There are no food facilities directly on the trail. Tianxiang township, located nearby, offers restaurants and shops. Visitors should bring their own water and snacks.
Our journey to this place was nothing less than a magnificent memory. This is the most beautiful place I have visited and stayed. I have never experienced luxury like that and the hospitality was top notch. I am still so grateful for all the people who hosted us and took us on an incredible journey.

The gorgeous locations, the history associated with the places, the super fun tourist spots, the delicious cuisine, warm and friendly people and to top it all, the kind hospitality we received, I am just so happy and joyful about my vacation here.. Our trip to this magnificent city was unbelievable. We had a wonderful time enjoying the various beautiful sites of the city. The location and the scenery here is stunning and the people are warm and welcoming. We stayed at this beautiful place where everyone made our time special. The local cuisine is a must try.
We were so excited to visit this place but were thoroughly disappointed while reaching and looking at the mismanaged affair. The place was crowded with tourists and there was no system to arrange them. The staff was also very rude.

It is a great place to stay and gives you much luxury and comfort at a great price. The service is great and the management was very prompt and was very helpful and assisted us with everything. The rooms were big and spacious, well maintained and the views from the window of the city skyline was just stunning. Loved my experience here!
