Hsinchu Zoo is a long-standing municipal zoo offering a modest collection of animals including tigers, bears, and sika deer. Known for its incredibly low admission fee of NT$20, it provides a convenient and budget-friendly outing. The zoo is currently undergoing renovations, with a planned reopening in June 2018, aiming to improve facilities alongside Hsinchu Park. While small in size, it offers a surprisingly diverse range of animals and is conveniently located near the Glass Museum and several parks.
I took my kids to this place. It was an awesome experience for all of us. I do think strongly that your kids will love it but the bonus is that you will love it too. It gave me a chance to indulge in fun activities and be present with my children. We made a full day out of it and honestly it was an amazing experience for the whole family.
