Helga Trefaldighets kyrka

Helga Trefaldighets kyrka, or the Church of the Holy Trinity, is a 14th-century Gothic church located a short distance from Uppsala Cathedral. Originally built for the common people, contrasting with the cathedral's purpose for the aristocracy, it offers a more intimate and unassuming worship space. The church features brick walls, a relatively low tower added in the 15th century, and notable medieval wall paintings by Albertus Pictor. While it sustained fire damage in the 18th century, it has been carefully preserved and remains an active place of worship and a venue for concerts and other events. It served as a training ground for priests and continues to be a beloved landmark in Uppsala.
