Gal Oruwa Ella Falls is a modestly sized waterfall nestled within a forested area. Reaching the falls involves a walk through the jungle, offering a natural experience. The trek is not particularly strenuous but requires some preparation, notably protection against leeches, which are prevalent in the area. While not a grand spectacle, the falls provide a peaceful escape and a glimpse of the local flora and fauna. Visitors often seek the assistance of a local guide to navigate the path and learn about the surrounding environment.
We were planning for this vacation for a long time and it was really wonderful. Visiting these amazing places was a unique experience and we could make a day out of it enjoying and having interesting conversations with the locals. The people were really hospitable and warm and made sure we don't feel left out.
