The Jaffna Archaeological Museum is a modest institution dedicated to preserving and exhibiting artifacts unearthed from archaeological sites in the Jaffna peninsula. While the building itself is somewhat unassuming and in need of preservation work, it houses a collection spanning centuries, including coins, statues, and unique items like a seven-hole musical water instrument. Visitors often note the friendly and helpful staff who provide guided tours and assistance with onward travel. The museum offers a valuable insight into the history and culture of this area of Sri Lanka, particularly given the region's recent history of conflict.
This is one of the most iconic and important places in the city. The history and the beauty associated with it is incredible. We decided to take a guide in order to understand the facts better. We really enjoyed our visit and would definitely recommend it to everyone.
This is an excellent restaurant which is the new opening in the town and also the talk of the town. The delicacies prepared here are awesome and delicious. The chefs have all come from outside and serve the best of gourmet food. It was exotic and tasty array of food and I highly recommend this place to everyone. Just awesome!!. The cafe is a little place situated in the middle of the buzzing market of the city and is a cute little place with a really warm ambience and very nice and friendly people and staff. The food was great and had a lot of amazing local flavors. It was totally worth the visit and we really enjoyed the food and hospitality.
We were so excited to visit this place but were thoroughly disappointed while reaching and looking at the mismanaged affair. The place was crowded with tourists and there was no system to arrange them. The staff was also very rude.
