Lankarama Sthupa is a prominent religious site within the Atamasthana, the sacred area of the ancient city of Anuradhapura in Sri Lanka. Constructed by King Valagamba in the 1st century BC, it holds historical importance as a testament to the region's rich Buddhist heritage. While smaller in scale compared to other stupas in Anuradhapura, Lankarama Sthupa is well-maintained and offers a peaceful atmosphere for contemplation. Archaeological evidence suggests the presence of a shelter or monastery associated with the stupa, with visible ruins remaining on the grounds. It is often visited as part of a broader tour of Anuradhapura's historical sites.
It was an outstanding historic tour of this place where the incredible collection was displayed for visitors while stating the facts and interesting information. With the striking beauty of its architecture, the visit was successfully completed with the final visit to a splendid museum.
Our journey to this place was nothing less than a magnificent memory. This is the most beautiful place I have visited and stayed. I have never experienced luxury like that and the hospitality was top notch. I am still so grateful for all the people who hosted us and took us on an incredible journey.
