The Lion's Paws represent the remnants of a massive lion sculpture that once guarded the entrance to the ancient palace of King Kasyapa at Sigiriya. These paws, carved into the rock face, are a testament to the ingenuity and artistry of ancient Sri Lankan civilization. Reaching this point on the climb provides a respite and a different perspective on the surrounding landscape. The area serves as an alternative starting point for the main spiral staircase, often alleviating congestion and offering a more pleasant experience.
Our journey to this place was nothing less than a magnificent memory. This is the most beautiful place I have visited and stayed. I have never experienced luxury like that and the hospitality was top notch. I am still so grateful for all the people who hosted us and took us on an incredible journey.
