The City Savings Bank Building, constructed between 1903 and 1904 by architect Vancaš, stands as a prime example of Art Nouveau architecture. It holds historical importance as the first Slovenian-owned bank, challenging the dominance of German-run financial institutions in the city at the time. While the original interior has undergone changes, meticulous restoration efforts have revived the building's chandeliers, furniture, and decorative glasswork to reflect its original design. The exterior prominently features the last remaining original Art Nouveau signage in the city. Its design draws inspiration from French and Belgian architectural styles, similar to the nearby Urbanc House.
