Sinagoga Maribor

The Sinagoga Maribor stands as a significant landmark in the city's Jewish Quarter, near the Drava River and the Old Water Tower. Originally constructed in the late 13th century, the building served as a synagogue until the late 15th century when the Jewish community was expelled from Maribor. It was subsequently repurposed as a church and underwent various ownership changes. The building was renovated around the year 2000 and offers visitors a glimpse into the history of Slovenian Jews.
