Singapore Pinacothèque de Paris was an art museum located within Fort Canning Park. It aimed to replicate the collecting philosophy of its parent gallery in Paris, showcasing a broad range of artworks spanning various periods and styles, from ancient artifacts to 20th-century American art. The museum featured exhibitions on topics like the history of Singapore and the life of Cleopatra, alongside works by renowned artists such as Picasso, Rembrandt, Monet, and Modigliani. However, the museum faced financial difficulties and ultimately closed after a short period of operation, leaving questions regarding accountability and unpaid debts.
We were so excited to visit this place but were thoroughly disappointed while reaching and looking at the mismanaged affair. The place was crowded with tourists and there was no system to arrange them. The staff was also very rude.
