Sembawang Hot Spring is a unique natural attraction in Singapore, one of only two hot springs on the island. Located near army camps, it provides visitors with the opportunity to experience naturally heated water sourced from the earth. Historically a secluded spot, the area has undergone renovations to become a public park, offering a more accessible experience. The water is potable and contains minerals, and visitors traditionally bring their own containers to collect and enjoy the spring water. While not glamorous, it offers a glimpse into Singapore's natural resources and a relaxing, rustic experience.
This attraction is best suited for nature lovers, those interested in unique experiences, and families looking for a free and relaxing outing.
The hot spring is enjoyable year-round, as the water temperature remains consistent.
Weekdays are less crowded than weekends. Early mornings or late afternoons are recommended to avoid the midday heat.
The area has been improved with renovations, offering better accessibility. However, some areas may still have uneven surfaces. Parking is available nearby, requiring a short walk. Public transportation options are also available.
The hot spring is generally suitable for families, but parents should supervise children closely due to the hot water. There are no dedicated play areas or changing facilities. Stroller access may be limited in some areas.
Pets are not allowed.
There are no food or beverage facilities directly at the hot spring. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own refreshments. Restrooms are available.
