Montale Tower, the third and smallest of San Marino's three towers, dates back to the 14th century. Constructed on the third peak of Monte Titano, it originally served as a defensive structure against the Malatesta family. Later in its history, the tower was repurposed as a prison. Today, it stands as a historical landmark, admired for its architectural presence and the surrounding natural beauty. While visitors cannot currently enter the tower due to ongoing restoration work, the area provides lovely views and a peaceful walk through a small forest.
