Ponte de Fundo de Rua

Ponte de Fundo de Rua, translating to Street Bottom Bridge, is a stone bridge located in Amarante, Portugal. Spanning the River Ovelha, the bridge is characterized by its four arches, which, while imperfect in their dimensions, demonstrate enduring strength. Originally a medieval crossing, it was rebuilt or significantly renovated in 1630, as indicated by an inscription at the entrance on the left bank. The bridge historically served as a vital link for traffic between Amarante and Vila Real, and remains a notable landmark in the area.
