The Pomnik Tadeusza Kosciuszki is a prominent equestrian statue situated at the western entrance to Wawel Castle in Krakow, Poland. It commemorates Tadeusz Kościuszko, a Polish-Lithuanian-American military engineer and statesman who played a crucial role in both the American Revolutionary War and the Polish Kościuszko Uprising. Originally erected, the current statue is a replica created after the original was destroyed by German forces during World War II in 1940. It stands as a symbol of Polish and American friendship and a tribute to Kościuszko’s dedication to liberty.
