Kayangel Island is Palau's northernmost atoll, approximately 90km from Koror. It's comprised of several small islands, with only one inhabited, home to around 100 residents. The island boasts long stretches of pink and white sand beaches, crystal-clear waters, and lush vegetation. While significantly impacted by Typhoon Haiyan, locals are actively working to restore the island's beauty. Visitors can experience snorkeling, diving, fishing, and a peaceful escape from more populated areas. Access requires a combination of car and boat travel, and tours are the most common way to visit.
