Chauburji, meaning 'four pillars,' is a significant landmark in Lahore, dating back to the Mughal period. Constructed in 1646 AD, it originally marked the entrance to a garden attributed to Princess Zeb-un-Nisa. The structure exemplifies typical Mughal architecture and is situated at a busy intersection. While once a prominent monument, it has faced neglect and is currently threatened by nearby infrastructure projects. It remains a favored location for photography enthusiasts and those with an appreciation for historical art.
This is one of the most iconic and interesting buildings of the city where the architecture of this place speaks volume of its importance. It is a great place to visit and its tour throws some light on the history and working of this place.
This was not on our list to travel and visit but we decided to take a little detour and visited this place and this turned out to be a great adventure and we really enjoyed our time here. It was a place worth visiting and I recommend the visit to this place to everyone.. It is the most beautiful building I witnessed which is architecturally detailed. The building structure was royal and the building exhibits a regal vibe to it. Visiting this place was an amazing experience and the place is truly a stunning place.
