Qissa Khawani Bazaar is a historically significant market in Peshawar, Pakistan, dating back centuries. Originally a gathering place for merchants from Central Asia and India, it earned its name – 'Bazaar of Storytellers' – from the tradition of storytellers entertaining travelers and traders. The bazaar served as a vital hub for commerce and social interaction, with inns providing lodging for caravans. While modernization has impacted some aspects, it remains a bustling center for trade, food, and local culture, though it also bears the somber legacy of a 1930 massacre by British forces. Today, visitors can explore a maze of shops offering textiles, spices, jewelry, and local crafts, and experience the lively atmosphere of Peshawar.
This is a must visit place in the city and it is beautiful. The place is centrally located and you can easily reach it. The stories and the facts of this place are very interesting and make way for an entertaining tour.
There was nothing special about this speciality hotel and it was such a disappointment. The place was literally in ruins and it pinches me to see all my money goes to waste. The rooms were really dirty and unkept and the service was pathetic. I wont recommend this to anyone and it was the worst experience.
The place was great, ambience was amazing and the food was delicious and it brought back a lot of memories of your childhood days since the concept of the place was to make customers nostalgic about the comfort food everyone used to have. It was simply incredible.
