Hippodrome

The Hippodrome is a historical site representing a Roman chariot racing arena. Once capable of accommodating up to 15,000 spectators, it now exists primarily as an outline of its former grandeur. While not architecturally elaborate compared to other Roman structures, its proximity to Hadrian's Arch makes it a convenient stop for those exploring the area. Horse carriage races are occasionally held here, reviving a glimpse of its past function. The site also featured shops along one side, similar to modern sports arenas.
