Shureimon Gate is a historically significant structure located at the entrance to Shuri Castle in Naha, Okinawa. Originally constructed in the 16th century, the current gate is a meticulous reconstruction following its destruction during World War II. It served as the main entrance from the west and holds cultural importance, with its characters representing courtesy and etiquette. The gate is widely recognized as it is depicted on the 2000 yen Japanese banknote. Visitors often stop to photograph the gate, which is situated at the end of the monorail line.

While making our itinerary, we included this place towards the end and thought that incase we are behind time, we will skip it. But thank God, we didnt because it was one of the greatest places to visit. Easily accessible, conveniently located, gorgeous location and the easy navigation for the entire tour of this place made it much more fun and enjoyable. I will suggest everyone to please visit this place.
We were so excited to visit this place but were thoroughly disappointed while reaching and looking at the mismanaged affair. The place was crowded with tourists and there was no system to arrange them. The staff was also very rude.
This is an amazing place and a must see for all the visitors. It is adorned with beautiful interiors and historic walls. The stories of the past of this building are incredible and the view is just awesome.
It is a great place to stay and gives you much luxury and comfort at a great price. The service is great and the management was very prompt and was very helpful and assisted us with everything. The rooms were big and spacious, well maintained and the views from the window of the city skyline was just stunning. Loved my experience here!
This is one of the most iconic and interesting buildings of the city where the architecture of this place speaks volume of its importance. It is a great place to visit and its tour throws some light on the history and working of this place.
