The Arco della Costa is a historic archway in Verona, Italy, serving as a passage between the bustling Piazza delle Erbe and the elegant Piazza dei Signori. Originally a connecting bridge between the Domus Nova and the Palazzo della Ragione during the Venetian era, it facilitated access for judges. Today, it is most recognized for the whale rib bone hanging from its arch, a curious feature steeped in local legend. The bone is said to fall upon the first honest person to pass beneath it, though it has remained steadfast for centuries. The archway itself exhibits unique brickwork patterns characteristic of Verona's architecture.
While making our itinerary, we included this place towards the end and thought that incase we are behind time, we will skip it. But thank God, we didnt because it was one of the greatest places to visit. Easily accessible, conveniently located, gorgeous location and the easy navigation for the entire tour of this place made it much more fun and enjoyable.
