The Fonti Medievali are a series of wells and covered reservoirs located just outside the walls of San Gimignano. These structures once provided the city with its water supply, dating back to the 14th century. Accessible via a steep descent, the site offers a glimpse into the daily life of medieval residents, where locals gathered not only to collect water but also to socialize and wash clothes. The area is known for its serene atmosphere and historical significance, providing a contrast to the bustling town center.
This park is amazing and has beautiful scenery. It is a perfect spot to take a good walk or even go for a run. There is a dedicated trail, well managed in the park. The trees by the trail are just beautiful and provide a lot of good air. There are also benches in the park where you can sit and relax.
