Passo della Mendola is a high mountain pass in the Italian Alps, connecting Bolzano (Bozen) with the Val di Non. It's known for its winding roads, dramatic scenery, and challenging climb for cyclists. The Belvedere terrace at the summit provides panoramic views of the Adige Valley and the surrounding Dolomites. While not as extreme as some other alpine passes, it offers a thrilling driving or cycling experience with rewarding vistas. The descent from Bolzano is generally more gradual than the ascent.
