The Portale di San Giorgio stands as a testament to Ragusa’s resilience, being the sole surviving architectural element from the medieval town after the devastating earthquake of 1693. This Sicilian-Gothic portal, adorned with a relief of St. George and the dragon, is enclosed by a wrought iron gate and is particularly striking when illuminated at night. It offers a glimpse into the city’s rich history and the skill of ancient stone masons. Located near the Villa (public gardens) in Ragusa Ibla, it represents a significant historical relic, having endured earthquakes, wars, and the passage of time.
Our visit to this place was amazing. It is so beautiful here and scenery and the views are just WOW.. we were in awe with the sheer beauty of this place. The scenic views are just gorgeous here and dont forget to check out the sunsets which are just stunning and so pretty.
The cathedral is hundreds of years old and has a magnificent architecture. The murals and the walls are simply stunning. We got a chance to witness the prayer ceremony and it was divine. Do visit this place and do enjoy it.

It is a great place to stay and gives you much luxury and comfort at a great price. The service is great and the management was very prompt and was very helpful and assisted us with everything. The rooms were big and spacious, well maintained and the views from the window of the city skyline was just stunning. Loved my experience here!
