Il Castello di Nelson, located near Maniace and Mount Etna in Sicily, is a site steeped in history. Originally a monastery, the estate was gifted to Admiral Horatio Nelson and remained in his family's possession for some time. The castle itself, along with its surrounding gardens and grounds, offers a glimpse into the past. Restoration work is ongoing, impacting access to certain areas. The site is known for its peaceful setting and blend of English and Sicilian influences.
We were so excited to visit this place but were thoroughly disappointed while reaching and looking at the mismanaged affair. The place was crowded with tourists and there was no system to arrange them. The staff was also very rude.
This was an amazing experience. The castle was magnificent. The building had a beautiful architecture and was adorned by stunning interiors. Do visit this place if you are a history buff and a sucker for pretty buildings.
This hotel has so many mixed reviews of positives and negatives online and I could see why. Even though the hotel is nice and rooms are big and comfortable, the staff seemed new and a bit unprofessional. They were clueless at so many situations which is a big minus in the hospitality industry. Overall, it was an okay experience but they could have been so much better.
This is the most scenic town in this city and we decided to take a weekend trip with our family and kids . The place is so nice and has so many interesting things to do and places to visit that you wont be bored at all. Overall, it made up for a perfect family vacation and we are glad to have chosen this place.
