The Anfiteatro Romano di Cagliari is a historical Roman amphitheater located in the heart of Cagliari, Sardinia. Constructed during the 1st century AD, it once accommodated up to 10,000 spectators for gladiatorial contests and public spectacles. While currently undergoing extensive restoration work, the site remains a significant landmark, offering glimpses into the city’s Roman past. The amphitheater is carved into the hillside, and remnants of its subterranean structures are still visible. Guided tours, when available, provide valuable insights into its history and function.
