Piazza Garibaldi is a large, central square in La Spezia, Italy, conveniently located near the Spezia Centrale train station. The piazza serves as a hub for local life, hosting a bustling market, particularly on Fridays, with vendors selling clothing, food, and souvenirs. A modern sculpture, rather than a traditional statue of Garibaldi, stands as the focal point, surrounded by cafes, restaurants, and shops. The fountain, designed by Antonio Leone, Cesarina Zanetti, and sculpted by Viliano Tarabella di Pietrasanta, adds to the square's aesthetic appeal. While not exceptionally grand, it's a lively and practical space for visitors and locals alike.
This is the most popular market of the town and is very vibrant and bustling all the time. It is a perfect place to shop for the beautiful souvenirs or check our local artists' work which is truly incredible. The people are also friendly and nice here and you can also check out some of the amazing street food available in this market.
There was nothing special about this speciality hotel and it was such a disappointment. The place was literally in ruins and it pinches me to see all my money goes to waste. The rooms were really dirty and unkept and the service was pathetic. I wont recommend this to anyone and it was the worst experience.
